Liquidity index of soil

- it is the ratio of difference between natural water content and plastic limit to plasticity index of soil.

Formula -

When natural water content becomes Wp,

In that case Il=0. But if w become Wl , then Il=1.

Flow index of soil and formula -

- It is the slop of flow curve obtained by plotting water content as ordinate on natural scale and number of flows as abscissa on ordinate on natural scale and number of flows as abscissa on logarithmic scale.

Formula -

W1 =water content corresponding to number of flow N1.

W2 = water content corresponding to number of flow N2.
